The Charleston Civil War Round Table (CCWRT) exists to help foster a greater understanding of the countless events that combined to make up the Great Struggle. The Round Table meetings are open to the general public who have an interest in the Civil War. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 PM and normally have a guest speaker. Many members and guests arrive around 6 PM to enjoy a buffet dinner. No reservation is required, just come and enjoy the fellowship. Our meetings are held at:

Ryan's Steakhouse
829 St. Andrews Blvd (Route 61), Charleston, SC 29407

Thanks for dropping by! On October 15, 2010, the CCWRT will be holding a 50th anniversary meeting/event at the Hunley lab from 6 - 9pm. The meeting is to celebrate the anniversary and to try to bring in new members who share our love for history. The event will be limited to 125 people. The first 125 to respond will be given some form of identification that will admit them to the Hunley Lab. The event will commence at 6:00pm with greeting time. At approximately 6:30pm we will have refreshments, Hors d'oeuvres , followed by 1 or 2 guest speakers who will speak briefly (no more than 15 minutes each) on Civil War and Hunley related subjects. At the conclusion of the addresses we will conduct tours of the submarine for those desiring. The tours will also be very brief, 10 to 15 minutes each. The event is free to all guest, members and prospective members. A donation of $300.00 will be made to the Friends of the Hunley and, as always I will be selling memberships to the Friends of the Hunley. Anyone who plan to attend contact Lee Wilson at email: LEWIL@aol.com
